The Secret to Delicious and Effective Healthy Living Recipes
I’m sure you are tired of all the lowfat healthy living recipes. These “substitution” recipes are actually unhealthy foods that they have tried to make healthy and still remain palatable. But, there is still absolutely no way to make a candy bar from lime extract, dates and peanuts. It will not ever happen. Dates and limes just won’t make a very good candy bar.
Realizing this could really set you free. You will, in fact, start liking your food in an entirely different way. So stop trying to make foods that taste like cardboard that are supposed to be healthy and focus on making dishes you will actually like.
If you want to be healthy and satisfied with your food, see the tips below:
• Its best to stay in season
Seasonal foods are the best and really a treat. Making sure you always treat them like that. Your main courses will be so tasty when you used seasonal fruits as the main ingredient. Try fresh peaches in summer, and sweet mandarin oranges in winter. Berries are very good in the spring, while apples are fresh and crisp in the fall. You do not have to give these up the rest of the year, but making sure to eat them at their best will make them a treat worth having.
• Accentuate the positive
Generally, you should avoid heavily processed foods when you are eating healthy. So no packaged foods. Homemade treats with fresh fruits are always so much better, and better for you, than those pre-packaged cakes and cookies. Make sure to be proud of yourself for eating right and making a great healthy living recipe.
• Focus on family
When you first read this, it may not sound like much of a recipe. Your food will taste so much better, when meals become family time rather than just about food. If you don’t have time to sit down as a family every night, make it a time for self-reflection. You can have a cup of green tea and a nice quite dinner. Think about yourself and how your day was, while eating slowly. Soon you will see that this makes meals easy when you aren’t eating foods high in fat that you really want.
There is more to healthy living that just food. Its a total mindset. A healthy living recipe that is truly effective will focus on all aspects of a meal, not just the preservative and sugar content.
